![]() ![]() ![]() Synedrion rejects the notion of private ownership of the fundamental resources and tools of society, instead placing these in the hands of all citizens. This does not mean taking a mystical or idealist approach to the natural world, but employing reason to create a system of industry that allows both humanity and the global ecology to flourish.ĬOMMUNALISM. As the only species fully conscious of its impact on its environment, humanity is both uniquely valuable and uniquely responsible. Synedrion understands that humanity occupies a unique role in the ecology of the planet. These rights exist regardless of talent or ability they do not need to be earned, but must be defended.ĮCOLOGY. Synedrion fundamentally values all human beings equally, and asserts that all human beings have inalienable rights. They also include freedom from hunger, freedom from violence, freedom from exploitation, freedom from arbitrary/stereotypical cultural norms, and freedom from hierarchies. The freedoms cherished by Synedrion include freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of belief, freedom of assembly, and freedom of movement. They are the most advanced of the three.įREEDOM. They seem to be mainly concerned with trying to build a new utopian society, having learned from the past mistakes of Earth Societies. This seems like something I'd more reasonably expect for Phoenix Point 2 after they secure a deal with an actual publisher - provided Phoenix Point reviews and sells well.Synedrion is one of the three major factions in Phoenix Point. Character customization would be nice, but that sounds like something that would be handled more by modders, and it's something that I think is much lower on the totem pole of priorities. When they make statements like that, it's pretty clear that there are bigger priorities for Snapshot than cosmetics right now.Īs a kickstarted game, I'm much more concerned about the game's overall polish as well as the geoscape and the mission design being sufficiently challenging while also fun. It's important to remember that Phoenix Point became an Epic exclusive precisely because, by agreeing to the deal, they got more money to effectively finish their game. Take-Two Interactive isn't Electronic Arts, but Firaxis being a subsidiary of a "AAA" publisher still gave them a lot more room to breathe than the ~$750,000 Fig campaign that Snapshot is working with. I agree that the customization options in XCOM 2 added a lot of depth and enrichment to the gameplay experience, but I think we have to acknowledge that XCOM 2 was developed on a much larger and less restrictive budget. ![]() but things like attitude and default stances were such great additions.Ĭan we get an update on what the Character Pool in PP will be like and and idea of what the depth of cosmetic customization will be (not including just using different gear)? It's surprised me how important a feature it's become and the level of enjoyment and engagement it?s added to my campaigns. but I really hope there are as many parts to customize. ![]() I'm really worried that after being so spoiled by the depth and scope of XCOM 2's Character Pool and customization I'll be disappointed by PP, my number 1 most hyped game for the last 3 years. I had a blast as usual but then thought about Phoenix Point and got kind of sad. Had a blast as usual with all customization options not just from base game, but all the mods. and as usual found myself spending another hour or two customizing my Character Pool. So I started up another Long War 2 campaign. ![]()
